Mr Sargeant is a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty and hip resurfacing.

Mr Sargeant studied at the universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh and qualified in 2011. He underwent his specialist orthopaedic training in the north of Scotland rotation in Aberdeen and Inverness. After obtaining his FRCS he undertook further fellowship training in Perth, Western Australia in the fields of hip and knee arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, periprosthetic fracture and prosthetic joint infection.

Since joining NHS Tayside in 2023 Mr Sargeant has become the orthopaedic lead for Bone and Joint infection. He has an active role in teaching and training and enjoys his work providing orthopaedic trauma care to the east of Scotland.
