Clinical Fellow Roles in Tayside Orthopaedics
Support and Experience
What we can offer you.
A deanery with supportive colleagues and seniors.
In Tayside, we pride ourselves on the approachable and friendly attitude of our team. We work together and want to see our colleagues succeed. Our consultant body looks to provide an excellent atmosphere for learning, and are always happy to help to get you the experience you need to secure your definitive post.
A deanery with a proven track record.
Our department usually has around four junior clinical fellows at a time. In the passing years, many of our clinical fellow colleagues have taken up run-through orthopaedic posts locally and nationally, or progressed onto the core surgical programme. Our deanery has also had two recent clinical fellows ranking first at national selection. We want to help you succeed and have a proven record of doing just that.
Research experience.
With TORC and a very close connection to the University of Dundee, we have excellent capacity to produce high-quality research, and are here to support you doing so. With our clinical fellow colleagues this year already travelling to international conferences to present their work, we know we can get you what you need.
Registrar-level experience.
You will be inducted and supported to work at a junior registrar level, including working with a single consultant for each 6 month rotation, supervised operative experience, supervised clinic experience, and supported on-call work. This is alongside regular teaching, and educational support. This allows you to be ahead of the competition, and gives you vital, real-world experience that you can’t get elsewhere.

We look forward to hearing from you, and helping where we can. Our job roles are advertised as standard on national platforms, but if you have any questions, please let us know.
